I'm Glittery!

This is pretty much me right now.

As I write this, I am surrounded by Christmas crackers, covered in glitter (and clothes: settle down, boys) and being subjected to the strains of Feliz Navidad, Worst Christmas Carol Ever (although the jazzed-up version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town is also fairly awful.) I am never going to be free of glitter. I am so sparkly. Maybe I am a vampire? Will bite someone and report back.

Kate and I, who are in charge of table decorations for CD, bought plain silver Christmas crackers for all of our relatives. We are personalising them by writing everyone's name on them in red glitter glue. Kate, who is still getting her head around the glue, just asked me, "How many did you get? Did you get a spare?" "Uh...no." "Oh. OK then."

We are also - in hindsight, we really should have done this before we started getting involved with the glitter - taking out the jokes that came inside the crackers and replacing them with jokes of our own, typed up in a similar font. The element of surprise! Will be nice to watch people expecting, "What do cows listen to? Moosic!" and getting, "What do you call a naked man in a pile of leaves?"*

Kate has put on Mariah singing All I Want for Christmas so I'm going to go out now.

I must admit, that Mariah Carey song is probably my favourite Christmas song. I know it's bad and dirty but I can't help it.

I have a mental image, nay a mental video, in my head of a glittery you in a glittery onesie with a Santa hat dancing in your lounge. Weird. And glittery.

Fnar fnar!

Russell!!

I'm totally telling that one later.

(PS - I'm with you. MC would make me cry. Those first twinkling strains make me heave. Merry Christmas!)

Glitter is the Herpes of craft supplies.. you can never really get rid of it...

My younger sister had the Mariah Carey christmas album. I am intimately familiar with it.
