Happy Easter!*

*or, as my phone suggests, Happy Farter

There is a restaurant on the way to work called Mum's Japanese & Korean, and every time I pass it I think, "Mine's not." That is the calibre (caliber?) of thought I am having today - I am tired but no sympathy required because I got drunk (on cask wine because I am classy) and didn't have enough sleep for reasons which we do not need to go into. Trying to figure out daylight savings at 3.30am is fun though. I'm still only 85% sure what time it is. 7 is the new 6? Fuck daylight savings, life has enough real things to be confused about without being confused by the time.

In other news, Kate is trying to hook Mum up with a Sri Lankan gentleman whose name sounds like "A Bear," so that she can say things like, "A Bear is my stepfather," and "My mother is dating A Bear." So far Mum is resisting. Resisting A Bear! Mum went to a neighbourhood party last night, which A Bear attended (see? it's gold) and the next-door people asked her if Kate or I had boyfriends. Mum said NO, which is true. The neighbours, apparently, snickered and tapped their noses and said, "Oh, the older one has a boyfriend." What the hell, neighbours? No I don't! Did I park outside your house and make out and erase the incident from my memory? God damn it.

In other other news, I went to the supermarket yesterday (the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday - it was, as Andrea has said, as if everyone was preparing for an apocalypse which required large amounts of chocolate and beer) in order to made an easter egg hunt for Kate and her friend Sam today. I purchased 20 small and 2 large foil eggs and hid them around the garden. It was pretty fun.*

I took a photo but you can't see the egg because it is hidden.



*but now Kate and Sam are playing the Jonas Brothers and I am going to take back every single one of those fucking eggs, bitches. ps happy easter!

Hahah! I've NEVER had that thought going past that restaurant! I will now though. Every time. Awesome.

OMG Daylight Saving confuses the hell out of me. Did it begin or did it end? I have no clue.

What egg? I cannot see any egg in that photo! If you'd wanted to be extra tricky you would have buried them in the garden. Or taken 20 eggs, eaten one and then labeled the rest of them 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19. That would have occupied them for a very long time! :D

I love the thought of A Bear! I wish my mum was going out with A Bear. Or had chance to go out with A Bear.

wv = psionscr. An Elvish word for that frustrated feeling you get when the person in front of you at the checkout has forgotten to get their purse out and count their silver coins as if having to pay for their tyuru and glĂ® was a surprise.

(BTW, if you google for elvish coins you find lots of nerdy discussions about how middle earth coins should look and how the ones on eBay aren't quite right. Fascinating).

100% against daylight savings time. What is the point? *grumble*
We did it a while ago though. So see? Even more confusing when different parts of the world step into and out of daylight savings randomly.
