Ask And You Shall

OK so this post is not about me, for a change! It is about my brand new friend Oscar, who left a comment on "The Waterslide of Insanity" this very afternoon. He stumbled upon my blog as he was Googling 'waterslide' and 'birthday.' As you do.

No actually it is his birthday this weekend - he is turning 30 - and as part of the festivities (or something) he has created a waterslide-themed video, in the hopes of winning a trip to see the world's best waterslides - which I think we can all agree would be a fantastic birthday present for Oscar, even though at 29-almost-30 he should really know better. (Incidentally, guys, it would be a pretty nice birthday present for me too.)

Anyway, the point is that in order to win the trip Oscar needs people to vote for his video. I have no idea what the competition is like because I don't like making informed choices about which waterslide I am voting for, but here is the link to the video, which has the link to the voting thing - it is worth a watch. AND A VOTE. Let us send Oscar on a birthday waterslide trip so that then he owes each and every one of us, but especially me, a favour. Hee hee.

Sorry it's not a hyperlink. I really gotta learn how to do that.

As Bernard Black said, it is dreadful, but quite short. (I kid! I kid! It is quite sweet really.)

Later:
Here's the actual link I can do it now!

Damn, I thought I was going to be the one to save you from non-hyperlink hell. But I am way too late.

Fortunately I have "vilite" to clean all the dirt away. :)
